A wealth of business and insurance experience has been brought to the Equine Division of Acordia by the addition of Al Schlom. Al Schlom has had 27 years of experience as a Business Insurance Broker specializing in Equine, Commercial, Industrial, and Life Insurance.
A native Californian, Al Schlom has spent his entire business career in the Southland. Al embarked upon a business career managing a contracting business and a manufacturing concern prior to his entrance into the insurance field. Through the years, he has served as an officer and director in many trade associations and civic groups. He is also a past president of the Verdugo Valley Trojan Club.
His lifelong hobby of training and riding horses has been instrumental in his becoming one of the premier livestock mortality insurance producers in the country. His youngest daughter, Candice, is recognized as one of the top International Show Jumpers Rider / Trainers in the USA, having completed successfully for the United States Equestrian Team in many International Events
